| I know this is my first post here. I wrote this out on my other site aliyagator and have just copied and pasted it. :)
Yey, I'm super excited about Markie and Me being engaged.
:) I really appreciate all the comments and love you guys have
given us. I know...you guys are waiting for "the story" which
I've told about 48 million times in the last four days. So, since
I feel like procrastinating and just putting it off... I'll just
have to do it now.
Earlier in the week last week Mark made comment that we hadn't gone out
to the park and sat on that bench [that we started dating at] in quite
some time and that we ought to do so soon. So he asked me if we
could after all our classes on Thursday night. I agreed and we
planned on having a ton of fun playing in the snow and talking and
enjoying each other's company. So we made it a date.
Thursday night came and we bundled up. There was a foot and half
of snow on the ground and it was still snowing. Right before we
left Mark gave me a note telling me how much he loved me (well, as far
as words could say) and when we arrived we went right to the bench,
brushed the snow off and sat there occasionally throwing each other in
the snow. Then Mark asked me to hold his gloves while he tied his
shoe, bent down and while making me think he was tying his shoe pulled
the ring out of the bottom of his pant leg where he'd drawstringed in
inside. He turned around while simultaneously getting to one knee
and said, "Will you Marry Me?" I quickly responded with an
excited, "yes." Then we smiled and kissed and I took off my glove
for approximately 3 seconds while Mark put the perfect fitting,
gorgeous, beautiful, perfect ring on my finger.
After that we played in the snow and all over the playground and went
down the slides at high speed (we had snow to slide on) and just had a
jolly time...until I hit my head really hard and then we took a break
from the playing to sit in the courthouse (in the playground) and talk
and cuddle in the snow.
And now there is a very happy soon to be wed couple.
And because I love you all here's a picture of the ring :) ...and my hairy fingers :P
